JBS Haulage Contractors ltd adds first Renault Trucks T High to fleet
Kent-based general haulier, JBS Haulage Contractors Ltd, has added its first Renault Trucks T High to its fleet. Supplied by Renault Truck Commercials, the new T520 High was selected for the manufacturer’s reputation for reliability, the locality and service levels of the dealer as well as the vehicle’s comfort levels.
JBS Haulage Contractors’ Compliance Manager, John Jennings, explains why the company chose the T High: “Following difficulties sourcing parts for a competitor manufacturer’s vehicles, we decided to explore other options. Renault Trucks has a well-earned reputation for reliability, and we were very impressed with the sales team at Renault Truck Commercials.”
John continues: “It’s not only about the truck itself; the back up and service is also crucially important to us. We are conveniently located near to our Renault Truck Commercials dealer in Dargate, Kent, and, as well as the very impressive full repair and maintenance contract on offer, the vehicle specification and the overall value for money, it was all too good to miss! And the service from Renault Truck Commercials has been very impressive so far, for example accessing documentation for compliance is so easy.”
The 13 litre T520 High 6×2 pusher is striking in JBS Haulage Contractors blue metallic royal colour with matching door sills, bumper corners, centre and steps. The Optidriver AT 2612F gearbox and automatic clutch provides a maximum torque of 2550 Nm and the vehicle comes packed with a host of optional extras including Alcoa Dura-Bright aluminium wheels, Kelsa light bars, fixed roof deflector, air-suspended heated driver seat, auto lighting, multimedia screen, 40L “quiet” fridge, microwave, luxury insulated cab curtains, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) linked to Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), ROADPAD+ and ECO cruise control with optiroll.
The new T520 High is allocated to one of JBS Haulage Contractor’s long-serving drivers, Boo Pessell, who works on general haulage in the local area and is out on the road 5 or 6 nights a week pulling fully laden trailers. “Boo is very happy with his new truck and has been very accepting of a new manufacturer’s vehicle; he thinks the T520 High is very nice and extremely comfortable. All in all we are very happy and have four further Renault Trucks on order, three T520 Highs and an 18-tonne T High Rigid.” Concludes John.
