Wash Bay Operative

£12.81pr hr – 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday as required

Hours: 0800 to 1700 with 1-hour unpaid break

We will also look to give training for additional fork lift truck duties

Responsibilities:

• Washdown, operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, and other cleaning equipment to clean presented vehices
• Keep the wash bay clean and free from debris
• Emptying the rubbish and recycling bins around the wash bay
• Cleaning spills or accidents
• Safely apply industrial cleaning chemicals and using them at the appropriate levels
• Keeping the  cleaning chemicals supplies stocked
• Maintaining the cleaning equipment in full working order and report any repairs that are needed
• Completing a set number of daily tasks as specified by any Supervisors
• Ensure that all equipment and materials are properly stored and secured when not in use
• Perform regular maintenance on cleaning equipment to ensure proper and safe operation
• Responsible for the removal of hazards and the promotion of a health and safety-compliant environment

This role will be dirty and wet, working outside in all weathers in the wash bay area.  We will give training for forklift truck duties as well.
